Roger Widdecombe is the church leader. After a career in sales for 13 years he studied theology for 2 years and became a minister in the Church of England in 2003. He came to St Paul’s in late 2006 and is loving it! Rog is married to Hannah and they have two small boys.

‘becoming the heart of the community’

Bob Thomas is our children’s pastor. Bob is an ex-copper and has been working in local primary schools for  the last 14 years. He joined our team in November 2008 to build our kids church and reach out to the children of our local community. Bob’s married to Helen and they have two teenage boys.

Alex Rayment has recently joined the staff as our full time Youth Outreach Pastor. Alex is originally from Littlehampton but has been working with Soul Survivor in Harrow for the last few years whilst also studying for his degree in Christian Youth Ministry. His is engaged to Laura, likes skating and anything musical.

Jenn Sweatman is our church administrator and oversees all things operational, from rotas to publishing banns. Jenn is married to Carl and they’ve been with us for just over two years.

Rhys Gronow is an assistant chaplain at the university and oversees our student programme in his spare time. Rhys has been married to Rachel for two years and they live on the university campus.
