Our aim is to empower every member of St Paul's to follow Jesus. We therefore encourage everyone to belong, to give, to serve and to grow.

Belonging

Belonging starts with gathering together on a Sunday to worship and learn together.

Belonging is cemented in smaller groups: 2's & 3's meeting on a regular basis, wherever's convenient; and HomeGroups of 6-10 people meeting in someone's home. Whether it's a 2 & 3 or a HomeGroup, the goal is to grow together knowing God, knowing each other and praying for those who don't yet know Him.

Giving

Together the followers of Jesus make up the church community and in each community members contribute their resources.

More than that, giving away our resources teaches us to depend on God instead of ourselves and opens us to the work of the Holy Spirit in a very special way.

The community as a whole practices this as we give away our resources to support missions overseas and to bless our community here at home. You can click on the Community Events and Mission Partners tabs to find out more.

Serving

Jesus Himself gives us the model for relating to each other and His world - serving. It's impossible to follow Jesus and not seek to serve others. It's also in serving that we often find God growing our character and rubbing off our sharp edges.

At St Paul's we try provide as many opportunities to serve as we can and in many varied and different ways, from helping with children to cutting someone's hedge and baking a cake to picking up litter.

Growing

Growth as a follower of Jesus happens in many many ways, not least through belonging, giving and serving, which all open us to God's work in us.

Along with these essentials, there are other things we can do. Options we currently offer at St Paul's are:

1 the Freedom in Christ course which looks at the basis of our faith and helps us make those truths turn into realities in our day to day lives.

2 Lifelight prayer ministry appointments are available for those who have identified a specific item they'd value praying through.
