We are blessed with a large number of children in the St. Paul’s family and we are passionate about ensuring that they are valued and integrated fully into church life. We have a great team of wonderful volunteers who ensure that firm foundations are laid for a life of following Jesus.
Every Sunday the first section of our worship is the family slot with a child-friendly song and a short talk. The children then proceed to their groups according to age and stage, see below for more details.
Shrimps is our group for children aged from 18 months to four years old. Children can join Shrimps when they can sit on a chair unaided and walk confidently. In Shrimps, we love to immerse ourselves in Bible Stories, make friends and play. Drink and snack is provided.
Starfish is our group for children aged 4-7 years, Reception to Year 2. Children join Starfish in their second term of Reception so that they can settle into school first. In Starfish, we love to hear stories from the Bible, learn more about God, make things together and play.
Sealions is for children in school years 3 & 4. In Sealions, we chat and explore Bible stories together, do some fun craft activities and have some free play time.
Sharks is our group for children in school years 5 & 6. In Sharks, we love to study the Bible to learn more about being in relationship with God. There is an optional craft and we also enjoy free play time to build relationships with each other.
At St Paul’s we offer a programme of activities for 11-19 year olds.
On Sunday mornings we gather with the whole church family before our own time together from 10.30am-12.
During the week we alternate between separate small groups one week and an all-youth café the next.
Our boys group takes place on a Monday while our girls meet on a Tuesday that same week.
Our café opens every other Tuesday. These mid-week groups all take place from 7-8.30pm.
